I would think that the very act of creating the servitor would bind it to you - it does the way I create them, anyway - as I've never had a servitor "go rogue" or disobey me in any way. Whenever i'm feeling down, I invoke Eris and her Chaos into myself... Never fails to cheer me up and often when I do, I feel like there is a "storm" (for lack of a better word) of color and energy and emotion all around me.
