Hiya,
Can someone please explain what is happening to me...and how best can I utiliise this experience?
It seems that my reality is somehow reflecting back to me what I think about or talk about. People might think I am reading too much into this but here goes anyway.
A month or so I had a dream about a baby on its own at a bus stop I got off the bus with the baby, noticing the mother was still on as the bus drove away but stopped a few yards away. The next day and without me saying anything I am in my brother's car, and his wife turns around and says look at that baby in the pram at the bus stop...where's it's mother...the mother was stood a few yards away on the corner looking for the bus. Oh, and just day dreaming the day after this I see an unusual hat in the wallpaper pattern...guess what driving along that day my brother goes god I have not seen him for ages, I go who? He points to this guy and says him with that hat on...
Now more lately I somehow speak about the Batchelors pop group...to this girl I know on the phone, trying to figure out the songs they sang...but the conversation drifted along with no result. The next day I am out at the seaside with my sister and brother in law, and they start speaking about the song coming from an arcade...they say it is the Batchelors...
Another thing...last night I am on the phone telling all of this to my friend...about the patterns and trying to figure out what they mean or how I can use them...it was thundering and lightening outside so sat with my window open....there was this cawing a bird making a noise...I say can you hear that bird? She goes no...' So I carry on speaking about the patterns - then I turn the page in the newspaper, and staring at me is a guy holding a hawk in his hand a big picture it says something like a bird in the hand...
Now...why is this happening almost as soon as I think about it or am I reading too much into it?
Please help and guide me with your insights...

But if these things seem important to you, then they are important, to you if not to the cosmos. Can you find any underlying symbolism or story in these events?

The awareness of synchronisity is one of the first signs of the reawakening of your magickal consciousness. Robert Anton Wilson and Jung cover various psychological reasons for this, so I won't go into depth about it, but it happens to everyone who knocks on the door of chapel perilous. HAve you been doing your LBRP etc? If so, this is part of what we spoke of: the changes that would begin in your consciousness. Don't be suprised if you start to have memories pop up next, things you had forgotten, and may have bothered you alot, but know they won't (you begin to work through your karma with the lbrp).

1. As Ludi, and of course uncle al said, remain skeptical! Keeping that skepticism is just as important as faith (hence the old saying "in ritual i believe in the angels and the gods; outside of ritual i doubt them all).
2. Start thinking about a system of divination. Notice that most magickal schools state that you should learn a divination system at the very beginning. This is to let you focus, train, grow and direct that awakening awareness. Pick a system you like. Tarot is important because it is the book of thoth, the compendium of correspondences; the i ching (yi jing dao) is very much tied into the flux and change of existence itself and a great tool for the finding of will.
3. If you are going to continue down the road of magick, please read Robert Anton Wilson's Cosmic Trigger. Really, put down all the magickal theory books and read this first. Its the most sane and humorous and honest biography of the magickal consiounsess, a great lesson on how to stay sane and balanced through it all.

Great words Frater. I can't seem to put it any better, so I will just say to try not to become too bewildered by the experience. You shouldn't over-mystify something which is quite cerebral, for you may confound things including yourself. Try to establish a grip you're comfortable with, and move on from there. Thank you for your insights...I never realised it could be the LBRP that I have been doing...what I also have noticed is that I have thrown myself back into the study of the tarot though I have a palmistry course to do it seems to just be there for when I need to look at it...I suppose I am learning that in a slower way.
However, I noticed last night something different about the cards...I started for the first time to see similar patterns from different cards...such as the devils horns and the 4 wands plus how the patterns and shapes flow from each card...hope this makes sense...' it was as though the cards were and are opening up another reality that not many tarot readers see...it was as though the water actually rippled as though the cards breathed and were alive...whereas when I first started out it was like basic very basic book text meaning now the imagery seems to be coming alive as well as the outer reality reflecting things back to me...'
I will buy cosmic trigger....Frater is this book/s writtern in reverse order...like cosmic trigger 3 being written first...?
Also what else can I expect from the LBRP...I notice my dreams are becoming very occult...dreamt of two or three white unicorns the other night as well as churches, plus also one night I was drawing talismans in my dreams....'
I went to the beach the other day...I thought I have been here before...Southport...but it kept niggling me I have been on this beach before but cannot remember how or why and who with...then it came to me it was with two friends from my past that I have not seen for over ten years....this might be the thoughts and memories coming back that you speak about...

Yes I think that is what happens. When you are aware of your own self. When your "Right Brain & Left Brain" are in sync. Then amazing things will follow.
Do not be afraid, just Believe in yourself! Thats the most important of all things you must do.

Depending on your sensitivty, yes. as frater manjet and fiat lux have recently put it so well, the LBRP clears everything away from you to allow to light of LVX to work within you; as you work through the tree, the world will become a placwe of wonder again, or as the tao te ching puts it "Let the Tao be present in the universe and the universe will sing".

yes, your dreams will also start to change as your mind shakes off the dust and begins to really work on many levels. some recommend keeping a dream journal, but IMHO, I think this is a personal prefernece. you may note that soon you will be able to 'direct' your dreams. If you find yourself doing an LBRP in your dreams this is a very good sign, a sign of advancement. The LBRP is a ritual that constantly allows us to grow, and grows with us...there is much down the road to get from it....evocation formula, the archangels, the elements, building the astral temple, but don't worry about that no, Focus on and enjoy the theurgic benifits right now, enjoy the experience. in my own experience, after ihad been practicing it awhile, i started to get thoughts about magick (in a theoretical sense) just pop into my head (there are many lessons in the LBRP). at first i just thought this was my 'clearer' mind analyzing the ritual, but now i know that these thoughts were really the first communications of advice from the archangels, i just wasn't 'advanced' enough to realize it at the time.
As far as your tarot experiences, that is also great growth. write these correspondences down, try to relate them to the tree of life. you are starting to build your magickal lexicon, and you will need this when the universe finally does start talking back to you
May i suggest posting your experience of the tarot in the CM forum? Perhaps we could start a great discussion about pathworking, b/c that sounds like what you are beginning to experience there. I am envious of your visualization skills!!!!
