Recomendations for South East Asian mythology

I'm looking to explore South East Asian mythology, folklore, occult and other spiritual practices, especially fringe ones, perhaps even pre-dating more modern and current belief systems and religions. From China, Korea, Vietnam, Japan and the rest of the region around those parts.
Anyone has any recommendations for some decent reading material?
I think I'd probably prefer more just myths and fairy tales format, rather than more academic studies, but I'm not too picky, I'd appreciate anything on the topic.
