chemgnosis?

Post by 66dragonfly66 »

well,
we will see if this gets anywhere really.

i do not believe the concept of infinity is real because all our perceptions, thoughts and experiences are biproducts of the limitations of evolution. this means, whatever infinity is is something we do not understand but have a concept that represents eternity.

i do not believe that the use of psycha delics and being able to handle them makes someone good or adept at their majik. in fact, while it can open up faculties it can probably close them at the same time.
i understand gnosis to be focused and greater awareness. pushing ourselves to hold pure open pan orama viewing, or pinpointed. and, the mere altering of states allows a different flow of energy but does not garantee shifts of the panoramic nature. I wonder if someone inverts their vision, and perception through something that radical alters the base nature of perception (like psolicin) creates a cascading effect of consciousness bending into itself. i wonder how much this happens naturally when we are not paying attention. (the thing carries its opposite within and next to the thing itself, whatever a thing is)

this is important. not sure why, or how

the idea of creating a servitor as a product of our own minds is good when it allows us greater participation in our subjective experiences and takes away the idea of absolute spiritual authority outside us. (also i read someone write here that these servitors exist as a reality outside the physical plane but still existing and we gradually give them more power til they become more objective. i wonder if this is a process of bringing spirits from another plane or dimension into this one and not just about creating an idea that is living...)

however chaos majik seems to be oriented towards mechanistic and masculine detachment from embodied reality. the operator seems to be about proving their ability to stay detached from reality and get what they want from it, as if desire was not about participating with the universe (so the yield is the process as much as the result)

Chaos Magic is hard to define because it uses so many other systems within its umbrella. Someone who switches paradigms at will is a chaos magician in much the same way as someone who draws sigils and then masturbates to achieve gnosis. There are just too many nebulous elements to consider in order to go 'chaos magic is this or that'.

As for chemognosis, I personally feel that drugs can help the mind to experience magic, but all too easily the chemognostic mage can fall prey to the Four Enemies of Man (Read Don Juan - all is covered in his works, even if Castenada has since been proved a liar).
